Sell and hand out gowns

Set up gown packages and collection times, let graduands pay on their portal, and record each gown going out and coming back.

Checked against Durbar on

The regalia shop lets graduands pay for their gown and book when to collect it, so the queue on collection day is short. It works from the congregation's Regalia tab.

Set it up

  1. Under Gown packages, add a Package name, What's included, the Price, any Deposit, and the Sizes. Choose Add package.
  2. Under Collection slots, set the First day, Last day, Opens at, Closes at, Minutes per slot, People per slot and Where. Choose Add slots. Sundays are skipped.
  3. Count your stock of each size and choose Save gown stock. A size you haven't counted never sells out.

To take money online you need a payout account. Durbar's 3% applies to the price, never the deposit.

What a graduand does

  1. They sign in to the portal and choose Your gown and collection time.
  2. They pick a Size and, if they like, When you'll collect it.
  3. They pay online. A package with nothing to pay says Reserve package.
  4. The page then says Ready to collect, with when and where. They can pick another Collection time and choose Save time.

Each person can have one package. Sizes that have sold out disappear, and a low size shows how many are left. The gown is held for 15 minutes while they pay.

Hand over and take back

  • Give everyone unplaced a slot spreads people who've paid but chosen no time across your slots.
  • Under Who bought a package, choose Hand over when a gown leaves.
  • When it comes back, choose Take back. To hold on to some of the deposit, say how much and why: the graduand sees your reason.
The deposit only goes back when you take the gown back. Nothing releases it by itself, so take every gown back in Durbar, even when there's nothing to keep.
