Create your account
- Choose Start organizing on any page of this site.
- Enter your phone number or email, and type the 6-digit code we send. There's no password: the first code you use creates your account.
- On Welcome to Durbar, enter your name and your organization's name. Your organization's address on Durbar is made from it.
- Under What do you run?, choose the answer closest to you, then Create organization. It sets your starting modules, and you can change them any time in Settings.
What each answer switches on
- I organize events: Events, Guests and Gate.
- I run a venue or spaces: Spaces.
- I rent out equipment or make branded items: Rentals and Studio.
- I run a university, school or church: Institutions, for graduations and congregations, with Events, Gate and Seating, and Spaces.
- I run a company: Gifting, Studio, Events and Spaces.
Follow your checklist
Your home page has a short checklist for each module you switched on, such as Create your first event, Add tickets to it and Publish your first event. Each item opens the page that does it, and ticks itself off when it's done.
Once you're live, Home shows how today is going: what's on today, such as events with how many are in, bookings and rentals going out or due back; the last seven days' takings beside the week before; and what's coming up. When something needs you, such as a booking request to decide or a rental that's late back, the most pressing one is the first thing on the page, and Actions lists the rest.
Before you sell anything
- Free events and free bookings need nothing more: publish and share the link.
- To sell, set up payouts first: the MoMo number or bank account Paystack sends your share to. It needs the Owner or Finance role.
- Add a passkey in Account when you can. Payouts, your team, settings and refunds all ask for one, and if you haven't got one yet you can add it on the spot.
Bring your team
In Team, invite people by phone or email with a role. Volunteers at the gate don't need an account: send them a gate pass link instead.
