Rent out chairs, canopies and sound, booked and paid online

List your equipment on Durbar's rentals marketplace. Renters see what's free on their dates, pay by MoMo or card with the deposit included, and you check everything out and back in with photos.

Made from Durbar's own screens. The names and numbers are examples.

How it works

  1. List your items

Name, category, a day or event price, a deposit, how many you have and photos.

  2. Set delivery

A delivery fee per region or town, pickup if renters may collect, and your claim window.

  3. Take orders

Instant bookings pay at once. Requests wait for you to accept, quote or decline.

  4. Check out and in

Photos when it leaves and when it's back, then release the deposit or keep part of it.

A catalogue that knows what's free

  • Availability by quantity

Durbar counts how many of each item are free on each day, with days between rentals for cleaning and transport. Two renters can never both get the last units.

  • Day and event prices

A price per day, and an event price that covers up to 3 days. Renters pay whichever comes to less.

  • Kits

Rent out 100 chairs, 4 canopies and a PA together at one price. A kit is free only while every part of it is.

  • Instant or on request

Choose per item. On request, you accept, decline with a reason, or send your own quote.

  • Photos and specs

Up to 8 photos and 20 specs per item, on a page with what's free over the next 28 days.

  • Found on the marketplace

Renters search by what they need, category, region, town, dates and how many.

Deposits and payment, done properly

  • MoMo or card, deposit included

Renters pay the rental, delivery and deposit in one payment by MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AT Money or card, with no account and nothing added.

  • Release or keep, with a reason

After the return, release the deposit or keep part of it within your claim window, with a reason the renter reads. What you don't keep goes back to their MoMo or card.

  • Released if you forget

When the claim window closes with no decision, the whole deposit goes back to the renter.

  • Disputes on record

A renter who disagrees answers from their order page, and a support case is opened that both of you can see.

Delivery, pickup and the day itself

  • Delivery zones

A fee for there and back, per region or per town. Renters outside your zones can collect, if you allow it.

  • A daily run sheet

Each day's deliveries and pickups in time order, with addresses, items and phone numbers, ready to print.

  • Condition photos

Up to 12 photos when equipment goes out and when it comes back, and whether it came back damaged or missing.

  • Renters kept informed

SMS and email when an order is accepted, paid, scheduled, checked out, returned and when the deposit is settled.

  • Booked from an event

Organizers open the marketplace from their event with its dates and town filled in, and the orders show on the event.

  • Earnings

What you earned after fees, deposits kept and held, how busy each item was, and your top earners.

Questions

What does it cost?

Listing is free. On each paid order Durbar takes 3% of the rental and the delivery, never of the deposit, from your share. Renters pay the total they see, with nothing added.

Who holds the deposit?

It's paid with the rental, to your payout account. You release it or keep part of it after the return, and what you release goes back to the renter's MoMo or card.

Do renters need an account?

No. They give a phone number or email, and follow their order, condition photos and deposit from their own link.

I rent out a hall. Is that Rentals?

No, halls, rooms and studios are Spaces, with booking by the hour or the day. Rentals is for equipment that leaves your store.
