Sell tickets by MoMo and run the gate from your phone

A page for your event in minutes, tickets people pay for by MoMo or card, and a scanner that keeps working when the network drops. Free events cost nothing.

Made from Durbar's own screens. The names and numbers are examples.

How it works

  1. Create a draft

Title, date, venue, cover and a summary. Nothing is public until you publish.

  2. Add tickets

Free or paid, how many, the most per order and when sales open and close.

  3. Publish and share

A checklist says what's missing. Then share the link on WhatsApp, X or Facebook.

  4. Scan at the gate

Open the scanner on any phone, or send a gate pass to a volunteer.

An event page people trust

  • A page that looks good on a phone

Cover photo, date in plain words, venue with directions, what's included, dress code, parking, access and your own questions and answers.

  • Found by people nearby

Published events are listed on Durbar by region, date and category, with search and a free-events filter.

  • Your organizer page

Your events, your venues and how to reach you by phone, WhatsApp or email, on one page with your name on it.

  • Add to calendar and share

A calendar file and a Google Calendar link, and one-tap sharing to WhatsApp, X and Facebook.

Tickets and checkout

  • Free and paid ticket types

Set a price, how many, the most per order and when sales open and close. Free tickets are issued at once.

  • MoMo and card, all-in prices

Buyers pay by MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money, or by card. The price they see is the price they pay; no fees are added at checkout.

  • Seats held while people pay

Paid tickets are held for 15 minutes while the buyer pays, so nobody pays for a ticket that sold out meanwhile.

  • Discount codes, access codes and hidden tickets

Percent off, an amount off, or a code that unlocks hidden tickets. One code to share, or up to 500 one-use codes at once.

  • Waitlists that fill themselves

When a ticket sells out, people join a waitlist. Freed tickets are offered in order and held for an hour.

  • Signed tickets

Every ticket's QR code is signed, so a forged one is refused at the gate.

Refunds and changes you can trust

  • A refund policy shown before people pay

Choose refunds only if cancelled, until 7 days before, until 48 hours before, or none. Buyers see it on the page.

  • Buyers request refunds themselves

Within your policy, a buyer refunds their own order from their ticket page. The money goes back to their MoMo or card.

  • Cancel once, everyone is refunded

Cancelling an event refunds every paid order in full and messages every buyer, with your reason.

  • Pass a ticket to a friend

A buyer who can't go passes the ticket on by phone or email. The friend gets a new ticket; the old QR code stops working.

  • Move the date and tell everyone

Change the start time and every buyer gets an SMS and email. Tickets still work, and anyone who can't make it can get a refund.

A gate that works without signal

The scanner downloads the ticket list, checks each signed code on the phone, and syncs when it can.

  • Offline scanning on any phone

Scans are checked on the device and queued while offline. Each ticket is let in once across every phone; a second scan says when and at which gate it came in.

  • Gate passes for volunteers

Send a link that lets someone scan for one event at one gate, with no account. It stops 6 hours after the event, or when you stop it.

  • Find a ticket by name

Look someone up by name or order number when their phone has died.

  • Complimentary tickets

Issue comps by phone or email. Each one is recorded in the event's activity log.

  • Hardware scanners

A USB or Bluetooth scanner that types the code works with the same screen.

Messages and numbers

  • Message ticket holders

SMS and email to everyone, to those not at the gate yet, or to holders of one ticket. You have 15 seconds to undo before it goes.

  • Sales insights

Tickets sold each day, by ticket type and by code, check-ins by gate, and your share after codes and fees.

  • Paid to your MoMo or bank

Paystack sends your share straight to your account, usually the next working day. Durbar never holds your money.

Questions

What does it cost to sell tickets?

Free events cost nothing. On paid tickets Durbar takes 3% of each order from your share, and Paystack takes its processing fee. Buyers pay the price you set, with nothing added.

When do I get my money?

Paystack sends your share to your MoMo or bank account, usually the next working day after each sale. Durbar never holds it.

What happens if the network is down at the gate?

The scanner keeps working. It checks each ticket's signature on the phone, queues the scans, and syncs when the network is back. It needs one connection beforehand to download the ticket list.

Do my volunteers need an account?

No. Send a gate pass from the event's page. It opens the scanner for that event and gate only, and stops working 6 hours after the event ends.

Can buyers get a refund without contacting me?

Yes, within the refund policy you chose. If you cancel the event, everyone is refunded in full automatically.
