Add your tax details
- Open Settings and find Tax details. You'll be asked to confirm it's you with a passkey.
- Enter your Registered business name, TIN, Address on invoices and an Invoice prefix of up to 8 letters or digits.
- If you're VAT registered, turn on Registered for VAT.
- Choose Save tax details.
Durbar sets the rates for your country, and you can't change them. Today that's Ghana: VAT at 15%, NHIL at 2.5% and GETFund at 2.5%. Elsewhere, receipts show no tax yet.
What receipts show
Your prices don't change: tax is inside them. Once you're registered, receipts for tickets, bookings and rentals on the web split the amount into Before tax and each tax, with Sold by and your TIN. Deposits aren't taxed, so they're left out. Receipts for gowns, votes and Studio orders don't show tax lines.
Issue an invoice
- Open Payouts, then Invoices, and choose New invoice. If you've no tax details yet, it asks you to add them first. You don't have to be VAT registered.
- Fill in the Customer, Customer's tax number if they have one, Due on and Customer's address.
- Add up to 100 lines, each with a description, Quantity and Unit price. Add a Note if you like.
- Choose Issue invoice. It gets the next number, with no gaps.
- Choose Download PDF, and send it to your customer yourself.
An issued invoice can't be edited, because tax records shouldn't change. Choose Mark paid when the money arrives, or Void invoice with a reason, and issue a new one. Durbar doesn't send invoices or collect the money for them.
