Keep a budget for an event
Plan income and costs, see actual sales and orders beside them, and close the budget when it's over.
Checked against Durbar on
On the event's page, in Sales, choose Open the budget. You need to be able to see money to find it. Four figures sit at the top: Income, Costs, Still to pay and Result.
What fills itself in
Ticket sales, votes, Durbar's fee, the processing fee, and the rentals, bookings and Studio orders made for the event appear on their own, with their actual amounts. For these you set only what you planned.
Add your own lines
- Choose Add a line.
- Choose the Type, Cost or Income, and say What it's for.
- Enter what's Planned, and the Actual once you know it.
- Choose Save line.
Sponsorship money is a good line to add here: the sponsors you list on the event don't carry amounts.
Close it
Once the event has ended, add a Closing note if you like and choose Close budget. If items are still open, tick Close with these items still open. Reopen budget asks why. Download the budget (CSV) gives you the whole thing.
