Start a room from a venue template
Pick one of 18 venue templates, say how many people and gates, and get a drawn plan with aisles and accessible places.
Checked against Durbar on
You don't have to draw a room from nothing. A venue template sizes itself from your head count and your gates, and leaves the aisles and accessible places in. You can then move anything you like.

Choose a template
- Open the gallery from where you need the room. For an event, open its seating and choose Browse templates. For a graduation session, choose Browse templates on the session. For a space, open its Set-ups tab.
- Set How many people, or type the Exact number, up to 40,000.
- Set Gates or doors, from 1 to 24. For a large crowd Durbar adds gates by itself, so people aren't all sent through one.
- If you know the room, add Room width and Room depth in metres. A template that won't fit says Room too small.
- Filter by occasion if you like, then read Suggested for you, All templates and Made for other sizes.
- Choose Use this template.
A template replaces the draft only. Nobody's seat changes until you activate a plan and apply it.
The 18 templates
- For a ceremony or a talk: Church or chapel, Conference hall, Lecture theatre, Hotel ballroom and Award show.
- For a meal: Banquet, Wedding marquee, Cabaret and Gala.
- For working together: Classroom, Boardroom, U-shape and Workshop pods.
- For outdoors and big crowds: Durbar grounds, Funeral grounds, Open field, Stadium stand and Exhibition.
Each has a size it suits, from a Boardroom of 4 to a Stadium stand of 40,000. Ask for more than a template can hold and the card says what it takes, and draws the closest it can.
