Seat people at tables

Put dinner guests at tables with their parties kept together, or spread a workshop across its tables.

Checked against Durbar on

Tables come with the Seating module. Draw the room from a template with tables, such as Banquet, Cabaret, Gala or Workshop pods, then fill the tables in one of these two ways.

A dinner with a guest list

  1. Open the event in Guests and choose Table plan. If there are no tables yet, choose Set up the tables.
  2. Guests wait under Waiting for a table. Drag each one to a table, or pick a table from the list beside their name.
  3. Or choose Arrange for me and adjust what it does.
  4. Choose Print the table list for the door.

A party is never split. A guest and everyone they're bringing sit at one table, and a party too big for any table is named so you can sort it out. Guests who said no are left out.

A workshop with tickets

On the event's seating page, the Seats section shows who's waiting. Choose how to spread them:

  • Spread evenly: the same number at each table.
  • Group by ticket type: each ticket type together.
  • Keep orders together: people who bought together sit together.

Anyone already at a table stays there. People see their table on their ticket.

A Table of 10 ticket type is something else: one sale and ten QR codes. It's about how you sell, and it doesn't reserve a drawn table. See Ticket types and codes.
